The village of Villasimius is located in the southeastern part of Sardinia Island. It is a wonderful place, that for years has been one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Italy. In its district there is a wide variety of choice between dozens of wonderful beaches. These include Porto Sarruxi, Campus, Campulongu, Timiama, Porto Giunco, Simius, Punta Molentis. Or the nearby Scoglio Peppino and Cala Pira in Costa Rei. Also you can access the port and marina, with boat trips with visits to the main beaches and islands. At the port or at the beaches you can rent boats of various kinds, and there are various diving schools. There are horseback riding lessons with rides on the beach. In the area there are many restaurants, some with locations of considerable environmental and scenic value, discos and markets.

Since 20 years ago, Villasimius is a marine park, where it is possible to admire a very limpid sea, magnificent sea grounds with a wide quantity and variety of marine fauna. Among them a colony of tropical crossbow fishes from the Red Sea that is unique in the Mediterranean.

The Residence la Chimera is located in the Gulf of Villasimius, on the beautiful beach of Campulongu. It is located 300 meters from the sea in a panoramic and tree-lined area, about 2 km from the village, in a quiet and peaceful area, near the main infrastructures and the most famous beaches which is connected by convenient roads.

Lonely Planet had classified the area of Villasimius some years ago as the third area with the most beautiful beaches in the world, after Polynesia and the Caribbean.
